FDA Authorizes First Oral Antiviral for Treatment of COVID-19

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for Pfizer’s Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir tablets and ritonavir tablets, co-packaged for oral use) for the treatment of mild-to-moderate coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in adults and pediatric patients (12 years of age and older weighing at least 40 kilograms or about 88 pounds) with positive results of direct SARS-CoV-2 testing, and who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization or death. Paxlovid is available by prescription only and should be initiated as soon as possible after diagnosis of COVID-19 and within five days of symptom onset.
Paxlovid can only be dispensed if it's prescribed by medical provider, your medical provider must fax all your information including the prescription to us in order for you to pick it up at our location.
Our staff will register you using the information provided by your medical provider, then they will call you to setup a time to pick up your meds.
Once you setup a time and day for pick up, go to our location at 43322 gingham Avenue, Lancaster, CA 93535 and park on the south side of the building, Do not get out of your car.
There will be a number posted to call once you arrive, our staff will come out and dispense your medication.
Take your medication as instructed and call your prescribing medical provider if you have any questions.
